As many of you are die-hard Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair devotees, you are going to love their newest addition to the Advanced Night Repair line with the new Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum Infusion. This new eye serum was created keeping in mind the damage the increasingly diminishing ozone layer is causing to our skin. The ozone layer protects us from UV damage and it is a major environmental concern with the thinning of the ozone layer. We could get into that whole subject, but we’ll leave that for another time and place. But we can’t deny that UV rays do horrible damage to our skin and this was created to significantly inhibit ozone damage to the eye area.
The skin around the eye area is thinner and more delicate than the rest of the face, which is why it is more prone to environmental damage and those pesky wrinkles and more tend to appear there first. The Eye Serum Infusion targets fine lines, wrinkles, puffiness, dark circles, dryness and uneven skintone, and it has over 20 patents worldwide. According to the company, it contains:
- Anti-pollution technology: Comprehensive repair technology including encapsulated Alkyl Guanine Transferase (AGT) helps to continuously repair the appearance of damage to the eye area caused by every major environmental assault including ozone, pollution and UV rays.
- Exclusive Chronolux™ Technology helps support the natural synchronization of skin’s repair around the eye area at exactly the right time. Consequently, signs of aging that can first appear around the eyes are reduced over time.
- Prevention and hydration: A high concentration of soothing anti-irritants plus a proprietary blend of antioxidants and high levels of proven Hyaluronic Acid work together to create the optimal environment for the natural protection and repair of the delicate eye area, thus helping reduce the look of dark circles, puffiness and crepiness around the eye.
The serum comes in a pump formula and one pump offers significant coverage around both eye areas. It’s lightweight and it can be used alone or with an eye cream on top, I’ve been using it in conjunction with an eye cream. I like the smoothness and radiance it offers – it appears to have light reflecting properties that brighten the eye area and it works great to apply concealer or other product on top of it as it lets those glide on. Time will tell the long term effects, short term I really like what I’m seeing.
