While in Chicago recently I knew one of the beauty lines I wanted to check out was the line called Sunday Riley.  It’s a line that Barney’s has started carrying and I had been hearing the Sunday Riley buzz for quite some time. The sales associate I spoke with wanted to show me her favorite beauty product in the line (there’s also skincare too) which is this Soft Focus Finishing Powder. $40

As we all know by now that having “the glow” makes the skin look more youthful, but the conflict can be that while a setting or finishing powder can help to keep your  makeup in place they can also leave the face looking dry and cakey and well, overly powdered.  That’s where this Sunday Riley Soft Focus Finishing Powder is different.  It’s a matte powder, but not a heavy cakey matte and it leaves a nice soft glow on the skin.  It’s seems like a contradiction to be matte and glowy yet it works, leaving the skin look like, well, skin.  Soft, glowy and healthy looking.

This isn’t a translucent powder and is available in both cool and warm shades. The powder is finely milled and blended with spherical soft focus particles that diffuse imperfections on the skin and give it a flawless look.  This quickly became one of my favorite beauty purchases from Chicago.
