Recently Bergdorf Goodman had their Beauty Event where you purchase so many dollars worth of beauty, skincare and/or fragrance and you receive a bag filled with beauty related goody samples. I thought it was an opportune time to purchase some Tom Ford products that I’ve been wanting to try – but that’s another story. What came in the bag of beauty samples was a mini sample of this Kaplan MD Lip 20 Mask.
I’ve never tried Kaplan MD products before, but have heard of them so I gave this one a try one day when my lips were particularly dry. The product is similar to a lotion texture and you apply and leave it on for 3-5 minutes and you’ll quickly notice a slight tingly feel to the lips. Not a burning what the hell is this on my lips feel, but more invigorating feel, and it’s not gritty like some lip exfoliants. After the 3-5 minutes are over gently wipe any remaining product off with a damp tissue. Then apply a lip balm, which they recommend their Lip 20 Ultra Hydrating Treatment Balm, but I just used my Milk lip balm since I didn’t have their brand. My lips were remarkably soft for hours and hours! I use this a couple times a week or more if needed in the really dry weather. But needless to say I have used every last drop of the sample I had and will definitely be purchasing this.
It says that not only does it exfoliate with papaya enzymes it has 22 organic extracts and hyaluronic acid to retain moisture in the lips. It plumps the lips (no you won’t miraculously get Angelina Jolie lips) because they’re well moisturized, smooth and exfoliated. Kaplan MD Lip 20 Mask does not contain parabens, sulfates, gluten, petroleum, castor oil or BPA’s.
