Silk'n SensEpil

What does one do when they have been remiss about something?  Apologize, and discuss. I started months ago telling you about Silk’n SensEpil and then I disappeared.  Forgive me, because this machine is really worth talking about!

This hair removal machine is very easy to use, so let me explain how you to use it.  See the bright pink piece? That’s the hand-held unit with a very bright laser light attached to it. Just put the light piece, which is about 1″ x 2″ in size, against the skin and press the button.   A very bright light flashes – you might even want to consider wearing sunglasses it’s so bright! Then a few seconds later a beep sounds and you move the unit to the next spot on your skin and start all over again and continue until you have covered all the area you’d like to have hair removed.  You can adjust the degree of strength that the light puts out as well, and there is a sensor because this does not work on dark skin.  This must be used over a series of hair growth sessions. The light must be replaced after approximately 750 flashes.

I have used this through three series and here are my results so far:

Typically, I shave my legs around 3 times a week, in the summer it can be more. After the first time I used this, my hair came in slower and significantly finer/thinner. I was truly surprised after one time.   The second time I used this, the results weren’t as dramatically noticeable as the first time, but my hair growth was less, and I was only shaving my legs about twice a week. I now just finished my third round with Silk’n SensEpil and the hair reduction is even more. I can’t give percentages, but it’s truly less significant.

Silk’n SensEpil is so easy to use, the FDA has cleared this device for home use and it’s much less painful than electrolysis, which I have tried and found very painful. Yes, this is an expensive device at $499 and replacement bulbs of $50. But, overall it is less expensive than having it done professionally.  FYI- this is not for facial use, unfortunately.

** I just received word today that this is now approved for facial use as well.  Just keep away from the eye area.    I am definitely going to start giving this a try on my face!
