Do you ever wonder what a person keeps in their handbag? It’s kind of like wondering what people keep in their medicine cabinet. Since I switch between a few handbags frequently, I will sometimes leave things in each of them and only switch out some essentials. Lately these are some of my handbag essentials that I seem to find myself always grabbing. What are your essentials?
Burberry Lip Velvet lipstick. I love the creamy and long wearing texture. It’s matte without being harsh or boring and this matte is definitely not drying. I have 2 darker shades I’ve been wearing this winter, but I think I need to add a few neutrals too.
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Compact. This works wonders for touch-ups and being on the go. Since I am constantly blowing my nose in the wintertime I need to keep this around so I don’t look like a relative of Rudolph.
Tatcha Blotting Papers. I still get a bit oily on my T-zone even though it’s winter. It’s definitely not as bad as summertime, but still noticeable. I love Tatcha Blotting Papers – they absorb all the oil without messing with your makeup.
Lancome Juicy Tubes – This particular shade is Hallucination, but I own several shades. I like their ease of application – no brush or sponge needed, just squeeze and swipe. They leave lips moisturized, shiny and can be easily used alone or top on lipstick.
Naked Princess Objet d’Love – This luxury lip treatment is excellent at prepping the lips for lipstick or just applying on a regular basis to keep your lips moisturized and healthy. It contains shea butters and Matcha Green Tea for conditioning the lips and it slightly plumps the lips without irritating them. Can you tell I’m lip obsessed?
Bobbi Brown EXTRA Hand Cream – My hands are constantly dry and I apply hand cream several times a day. A few months back I discovered that Bobbi Brown finally added a hand cream to the EXTRA line. Yes, I say finally because years ago Bobbi had a hand cream in her skincare line that I absolutely loved and purchased all the time – then it was discontinued and never replaced till now. I love how this feels! It’s very moisturizing and within seconds after applying it feels like I have nothing on my hands, just super soft, moisturized skin.
Chanel Natural Finish Pressed Powder – I’ve tried countless powders in a compact formula. I need them for helping to keep oily skin at bay without looking like I have powder caked on my face. Some I’ve tried are good, but non are as amazing as this. I’ve repurchased this countless times and if they ever discontinue it I will cry. It absorbs oil, goes on very lightly and never leaves my face looking powdery, just shine-free.
Michael Kors Sunglasses – We can’t forget about protecting our peepers and even on cloudy days I wear sunglasses outdoors. I have amassed quite a collection of sunglasses and my latest favorites are these Michael Kors Camila style are a slight cat-eye and slightly oversized. I like the little gold accent – stylish without too much bling or big logo.
And last but not least, Altoids Smalls, because everyone should have fresh breath!

You forgot Bandaid Friction Block for when those heels become a bit uncomfortable and a small floss ( like you get from the dentist)
Good ones!
I’m crazy in love with the new EXTRA hand cream by Bobbi Brown! I put it on at night before I go to bed and when I wake up, my hands are baby-soft and my cuticles look like I just had a mani! Great choices!
