Dolce&Gabbana Holiday Collection 2012 is a limited edition selection called Animalier Signature Collection. There are several things I like about this collection and think it works perfectly for women over 40. You won’t find outrageous glitter and sparkle with this collection, well a little bit of shimmer in the eye liners, but overall just a classic, good looking collection all around and the animal print compacts are to die for!
The eye shadow quad is Desert and has neutral, wearable shades that range from matte to satin. They are keeping the look of the eyes neutral, lips dramatic and nails across the board from light to dark and topping it with an animal print bronzer to warm up the face.
The new limited edition lipsticks are in the animal printed top case and are in creamy formula shades Iconic, Caramel and Desert (L-R)
These are two of the nail lacquer shades available. There are 5 in the new collection. Honey, Perfection, Caramel, Grey Pearl, Chocolate.
This new collection works fabulously with their newest foundation Luminous Liquid Foundation. I like how this foundation is luminous, but doesn’t leave the face overly dewy or shimmery looking like so many luminous foundations can. It’s more natural than shimmery, yet it leaves the skin looking silky and healthy with a medium coverage. I like how foundations labeled as “luminous” seem to have come a long way in perfecting the look of the skin, compared to when luminous foundations first came out.
This Holiday Collection is one that is at the top of my list!
