To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of creating Dolce&Gabbana two new Dolce&Gabbana fall fragrances were created; Dolce&Gabbana Pour Femme and Dolce& Gabbana Pour Homme. The fragrances are meant to celebrate the D&G duo’s intense love of the Scilian culture, food, beauty and travel. The print and tv campaigns were shot and directed by Mario Testino which feature Laetitia Casta and Noah Mills in a small village in Southern Italy. The story behind the campaign is about love, passion, scandal and excitement – all creating a Dolce&Gabbana fairytale that the brand is well-known for.
“She is a woman aware of her own beauty, who loves to take risks and knows how to get what she wants with her gentle touch and her sensuality.” – Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana
The Pour Femme
is seductive, soft and soothing neroli, intertwined with nuances of raspberry, are given a playful lift with a hint of tart green mandarin. This gives way to a heart of voluptuous sensuality, a softly undulating fragrance of potent florals: velvety jasmine melting into the citrus sweetness of orange blossom. The addictive and seductive qualities of the sugary ‘Guimauve’ introduce the full-bodied sensuality of the vanilla base notes. This captivating feature of the fragrance is further lit up by the roundness of heliotrope and the smooth intense cream sandalwood. It’s not as deep and warm as I thought it would be. It’s a good blend between fresh and warm, not too light and not too intense. I really like it for fall and Mr. Fab agrees, and besides I’m a sucker for nearly all things with neroli.
The strong and complementary Pour Homme
includes notes of : neroli, mandarin, bergamot, lavender, sage, pepper, tobacco, cedar wood and tonka bean.
Both are great gift ideas for the holidays as well!
