My friend Amy at Cafe Makeup was so kind to tell me the other day while she was in Paris that none of the Chanel counters have makeup brushes for sale! They’re all being re-done and new ones will be released soon (hopefully soon). So, what does that mean for the info I was given on the European brushes coming to the US? I’m not 100% sure yet – but it sounds like all of Chanel will be getting new brushes – US and Europe. I guess that means I’ll never have my foundation brush after all. 🙁
I also heard today from a source that Chanel will also be discontinuing Rouge Allure lipstick. You know the one, the case that is all black and the gold bottom clicks to pop it open. A new formula will be replacing it, so if you are a fan of Rouge Allure – get it while the getting’s good!
Have you gotten a chance to try the new Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks? Divine!

I’m not sure what to think of this news about Rouge Allure. The Rouge Coco formula is much better on my lips, yet I can’t imagine life & beauty without several of these colors.
I popped into Nordstrom at the MoA Monday and tested the red and berry shades of Rouge Coco Shine. I love the Rebelle and plan to get that (today?).
OMG, is it true that they are gonna discontinue Rouge Allure? I much prefer the level of pigmentation and hydration to Rouge Coco, personally!
And to me by far, the design of the lipstick (with that sleek tube and click) is the most chic…
🙁
I agree – that case is very classy. I do like the Rouge Allure lipsticks and will have to stock up on a few of them.
That’s a great shade! I was busy testing them all last night and had a tough time deciding!
New to your blog and have been enjoying your posts. I noticed your comment about the foundation brush — if you’re still on the hunt for a good foundation brush, I would recommend Bobbi Brown’s. Great quality and doesn’t irritate skin.
Hi Rayna, thanks for reading! I do own the BB brush but like the Chanel one much much better.
