I’m so glad that BECCA products are now once again available at Sephora.com. I’ve used many of the products from the line for many years and they seem to always contain good for the skin ingredients and the products in general are paraben and fragrance free.
They’ve recently come out with a new foundation – Radiant Skin Satin Finish Foundation. We all want to have radiant skin – we tend to complain that when we reach that over 40 age we lose the radiance in our skin, but we want products that are not only going to make our skin look good, we also don’t want the color disappearing after a couple hours. That’s where Radiant Skin Satin Finish Foundation fits the bill. It’s a long lasting foundation and when applied properly it leaves the skin radiant looking. The coverage is medium to full, so a light hand is really necessary. The term “radiant” may always have us thinking light reflective properties or that shiny “glow”, but this is more smooth and satiny and it covers imperfections and it does last for many hours.
It works great for oily skin as it has a silicone emulsion that contains sebum-absorbing ingredients. But it’s also water/sweat resistant (for you athletes that want to wear makeup while working out?), absorbs excess oils and doesn’t settle into fine lines or creases. The foundation contains Ejitus Rose, a rose commonly found in Japan that helps improve elasticity and radiance, and it’s formulated with mineral pigments that are soothing anti-inflammatory. The Vitamin E enhances moisture retention and protects against free radical damage and pollution.
As I had mentioned earlier – be sure to apply properly. Just a small amount is needed to keep it natural looking and start at the center of the face and work outward. I found it works best with first using my fingertips to apply and then going over that with a foundation brush to really work it in. It’s available in 18 shades so there’s a nice selection of shades to suit your skin tone.
