I know summer is supposed to be a time to relax and kick back, but it also means we’re on the go all the time tying to fit everything in during the short summer season. That can mean with work and go-go all the time, I look forward to early fall and stepping back and taking a breath. I always need some serious recharging for a few days in the fall and I can’t think of doing that in a better place than Harvest Inn in St. Helena in the heart of the Napa Valley.
I envision myself getting recharged by one of their signature massages in their outdoor massage cabana under the beautiful Redwood trees. A Tip to Toe massage sounds wonderful about now and is there anything better than having your head massaged? They use the French products from Rene Furterer for the head portion of the massage. Or how about the Grape Seed Glow & the Rosemary Mint or Cabernet Passion Frjuit Body Quench, which they use the products NV Organics from Napa Valley. I think I could handle either of these treatments too – Deep Muscle & Foot Treatments with products from StillWater from Washington State where they source the soaps for Harvest Inn or a Warm Stone, Massage Trio and Wellness Solution using products from Tara Spa Therapy from Carmel. My body and mind would get some serious recharging!
Then after touring various beautiful wineries and boutiques in the area, I would head back to a room like the King’s Vineyard room (shown below). Sit at night by the fireplace and breakfast out on the deck.
It’s been awhile since I’ve completely relaxed and since I’ve been to Napa Valley. It’s such a beautiful place and I love the slower pace and how everyone really takes the time to enjoy their surroundings – whether taking in a beautiful meal, a rich wine or with a shopping bag in tow, or in the pampering care of someone else’s hands, it’s really a wonderful place to visit.
OK, I really think I need to book that trip NOW!
