Sebastian Hair Care Reviews
When reading the label on the Sebastian Whipped Creme styling product it says it’s for curly or wavy hair and so I thought it might work on my slightly wavy hair. Well, that is IF I had any hair these days (still suffering from a bad haircut the day before my birthday over 4 months ago – which I won’t get into today). So I was anxious to give the styling whip a try. It’s a lightweight whip that reminds me of Reddi-Wip and I think of the scene in the movie Hitch when Eva Mendez is sitting on the sofa sulking over her love life and squirting Reddi-Wip directly into her mouth. I’ve never tried that – but oh, doesn’t that sound so tempting!
Unfortunately, this Whipped Creme does not give enough of the oomph my baby fine locks need. I think if you had actual curls it would be a great product to soften and help define them. Once my hair grows out to where it needs to be, I may give this another try to see how it actually works on wavy hair. In the meantime, I’ll leave the Reddi-Wip Whipped Creme to those who actually have curls.
Another issue we fine-haired gals have is when too much product weighs down our hair. If you’re fine-haired, you know exactly what I mean. If it’s not the right textured product, within a half an hour your hair is as greasy as a slick haired cowboy, or blah as Droopy the Dog. The Sebastian Microweb Fiber is said to have a “re-moldable texture with silky web fibers”. I won’t argue with that – it is a nice texture that gives separation and definition, even with my short hair. It also says that if you twist your hair around your fingers that you can even create curls, and I think that you probably could do that as well, but my hair isn’t long enough to try that.
Just a tiny dab was all I used and like I said, it did give separation and definition – for about 4 hours. After that, my fine hair turned into Droopy the Dog with a little slick haired cowboy mixed in. My hair was flat and greasy looking. I’ve tried Sebastian products I really like that are better for my fine hair like their Thickey Foam. Unfortunately, these two products I tested are not best suited for fine hair.
