Have you ever purchased makeup online, crossing your fingers and hoping the color you get actually looks like the color online?  I know I have, and quite frankly, I’m shocked most of the time.   Yes, there will be slight differences and even from computer to computer colors may look different.   But things like this – really?   Something has to change!

Take the color shown above.   It’s the color Splendid shown on the Dolce & Gabbana website.   To me it looks like a somewhat natural color – a little brown, a hint of a coral in with the pink.  Like a little more natural lip toned, but with a hint of oomph.    I took my chances and purchased this lipstick online.

Now, look what the actual color looks like.    Does it look anything like the online shades look?   I think not!  It is actuallly a VERY hot pink.  Wow – what a difference!   Please, online sellers of makeup – make your colors more realistic on your sites, it’s so important!
