Chanel’s Holiday collection didn’t really grab my attention this past season, but the new Chanel Spring 2010 Collection surely has gotten me to take notice! I really don’t think there is a single item in the collection that I don’t like – I love it all! Some might think the collection could almost fit into Fall colors and I’m not going to disagree, but to me they are a lighter version of something for fall, not quite as deep as fall colors.
Take the Kaska Beige eyeshadow quad shown above for example. The shades range from a soft beige (top left) to a medium soft bronze shimmer (bottom right) to a medium brown with some red (top right) to a plum brown shimmer (bottom left). These shades are wearable in many combinations – from a soft, light eye look to an intense, deep smoky look and everywhere inbetween. I think this quad could work on most any skin tone.

Imprevu, the blush shade shown below, is a warm rosy brown. It’s highly pigmented, so if you are fair skinned it may be either too dark for you or just be sure to use a light hand when applying. It’s a pretty shade that can warm up your face and give you a “I’ve been in the sun” glow.

Who doesn’t love Chanel nail colors and this new shade Particuliere shade is no exception. It’s a mushroom shade that is actually very wearable – it works with the basic browns, greys, and of course blacks. I didn’t even have this nail color on for 24 hours and four people commented on how much they loved the color! If you’re not into real dark nail polishes or vibrant pinks, corals etc, this would be a fabulous shade to try.

There are several more attention grabbing pieces in the collection too. I loved everyone of the lip shades in the lipsticks and glosses, and the highlighter Empreninte de Chanel is a warm shimmer highlighter that is sold out in many places, too. Be sure to check out this very FABULOUS Chanel collection!
